Trans4orm Network Ghana in collaboration with Tosh Media and and the Stars of Volta (comprising 15 senior and young musicians in the Volta and Oti regions) aim to partner with MTN to change behaviours through musical performances of songs composed purposely for ensuring peaceful elections. We propose a three-prong project:

1) organizing and performing songs composed for peaceful elections in identified districts in the Volta and Oti Regions. The musical concert would be open to up to 100 invited guests in each district, who will respect COVID-19 protocols. The invited persons will include, leadership of political parties and their youth wings in the districts and the regions, football and cultural drumming and dancing clubs, Chiefs and Queenmothers, the security agencies, identified youth groups, Okada riders, NCCE, EC, CHRAJ, DISEC, NPC, District and Municipal Chief Executives, women’s groups, clergy, the media and other stakeholders. The concert and all the peace messages that would be shared by all stakeholders will be recorded and played back on selected TV and Radio stations;

2) Appropriate and powerful peace statements made at the concerts will be designed in short and catchy social media messages and shared widely among youth groups and stakeholders in the region and nationwide. Videos of the songs will also be shared on social media to ensure the messages in the songs reach wider society; and

3) Media houses in the two regions will be invited to report on the peace statements and commitments made by the leaders of political parties and their youth wings, youth groups and other stakeholders.
